Tab Trade — The Short Version
Tab Trade launched in Q1 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, under the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.
The BlackBull connection tells you something. It means the leadership has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. Still more reassuring than someone with no brokerage experience.
The broker opened with Equinix data centre access in London. Same data centres banks and hedge funds use. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. These guys did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker.
Market coverage: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For something that launched in March 2026, that coverage is solid.
What You Trade On
They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Both platforms from a single account. Many only give you one or the other. Having both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.
MetaTrader 5 is the default. Complete charts, automated trading, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have used MT4 or MT5 previously, there are no surprises.
cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better depth of market. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. Plenty of traders find it more natural once they try it.
Direct FIX connectivity is offered for algo traders but is only on the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is apparently coming. That will be a good addition once it is live.
Costs
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. No commission. Easy to track. Zero deposit requirement. Works for beginners.
Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is often below 0.2 pips. So your all-in cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level require a minimum deposit. Tab Trade does not.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not relevant to most retail traders. Skip it unless you run serious volume.
Execution Speed
The execution is where this broker actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. Those are proper execution targets. The average platform operate at 100ms to 300ms.
Does this affect you? For short-term trading, it does. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, it matters less. What matters is the setup is serious. That says they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Put together that infrastructure with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the total package is strong. Hardly anyone at this price point offer execution like this.
Regulation
This is the part you need to be straight about. TabTrade is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No investor compensation scheme. If that is a dealbreaker, this broker is not for you. Plenty of tier-1 alternatives out there.
However. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup costs real money. Scam brokers do not bother with tier-1 data centre access. None of this make it safe. But be part of how you think about it.
The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether this deal makes sense comes down to your priorities.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade runs bonus funds of up to $2,000. Usual deposit match. You deposit, they add bonus funds. The normal fine print: trading volume requirements before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before you commit.
